Cricket Success

Today, 10 children from years 5 and 6 travelled to Uphill Castle Cricket Club to take part in NSSPEA Dynamos Cricket Tournament. We were joined by teams from Worle Village, Corpus Christi, Sidcot and Wrington schools. All the children showed excellent cricket skills, fantastic teamwork and great sportsmanship.

Highlights included several sixes from Bella, Albert and Harry. Zak and Melvin scored several fours. Ollie took an amazing catch. Luke took a wicket against Sidcot. Amber’s bowling improved throughout the day, and in the final game, she had a maiden over (nobody scored against her bowling).

Due to a school withdrawing from the competition at short notice, Georgina and Alma played for the Maverick team. This team was made up of children from all schools. The NSSPEA coach commented on their excellent behaviour and attitude throughout the day!

We are so proud that we won 3 of the 4 games we played today!
